BPR Remodeling has completed projects across Salt Lake City, from older single-family homes to condos downtown. We are a small, licensed Utah team (Utah Contractor License #13276859-5501) that keeps prices honest: standard pricing starts at the low end of Utah retail, and Model Home Program homeowners pay builder price on materials.
Remodeling an Older Salt Lake City Home
Salt Lake City has some of the oldest housing in Utah: early 1900s bungalows and Victorians in neighborhoods like the Avenues, Sugar House and Liberty Wells, and post-war ramblers on the west side. Older homes reward a contractor who plans for what is behind the walls:
- Windows in odd sizes. Older openings are rarely standard, so we measure every window and order custom sizes rather than forcing a stock unit.
- Lead paint. Homes built before 1978 may have lead-based paint, so work that disturbs painted surfaces follows federal lead-safe practices.
- Plaster walls and older wiring. We open walls carefully and price electrical updates up front instead of surprising you mid-project.
- Basements with low ceilings. Many older basements need careful planning for ceiling height and egress before they can become bedrooms.
Historic Districts
Parts of Salt Lake City are local historic districts, where exterior changes such as replacing windows or front doors generally need approval before work starts. If your home is in one, we help you choose products that fit the design guidelines and prepare what the city asks for. Not sure? Give us your address and we will check before quoting.
Downtown Condos
Downtown condo remodels add rules that a single-family house does not have: HOA approval, elevator and loading-dock reservations, quiet hours and limited parking. We plan the schedule around your building’s rules so the work goes in without trouble with your neighbors or your HOA.

Builder Price for Salt Lake City Homeowners
Through December 31, 2026, a limited number of homeowners can remodel at builder price with no markup on materials, typically 40–60% below Utah retail on the material portion. In return we photograph your project, put a small BPR yard sign out, and may show the finished work to a few future clients at times you approve. Reviews are never required.
